Oz is a classically trained pianist with a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from Memorial University of Newfoundland (2024) and over ten years of professional experience as a soloist and ensemble musician.

Oz is proficient in classical, jazz, and Latin American repertoire, with experience performing solo recitals, chamber music, and accompanying singers and cellists, as well as performing late-night sets with a trio. Oz also writes original arrangements and transcriptions.

Oz has performed across Canada and the United States in a variety of events, venues, and ensembles.

Performance Style

Oz's repertoire features the works of baroque, romantic, and modern classical, from Bach, Fauré, Rachmaninov, and Prokofiev. Oz additionally performs jazz, both American standards and particular passion for bossa nova and Latin American music. Personal composition and arrangement is also a passion of his, including the Selihot Suite included below and an arrangement of J.S.Bach’s Musical Offering

Oz performed with numerous ensembles, including as a pianist for opera, in a trio performing Latin jazz, in many classical chamber ensembles, and as an accompanist for vocals, violin, and cello. Group performance has enabled Oz to sightread and transpose quickly, and adapt to last minute changes in repertoire.

Events & Occasions

Oz plays weddings and ceremonies, cocktail hours and receptions, corporate events, galas and festivals, church and synagogue services, house concerts and competitions.
